dc.description.abstractContact sensitisers diphencyprone and dinitrochlorobenzene are used in hospitals and specialised settings for the treatment of warts and alopecia areata, which have not responded to more conventional or readily available therapies. These chemicals are hazardous and after an accidental spill in our hospital, it was evident that guidelines for the safe handling of these preparations were needed. This report explains how the safety issues associated with the handling and use of diphency-prone and dinitrochlorobenzene were addressed.en
