Title: | Improving our ED delirium DETECT-ion skills" results from the DETECT1 project. | Authors: | Gibson T.;Byrne D. | Institution: | (Gibson & Byrne) Monash Health, Clayton, VIC, Australia | Copyright year: | 2024 | Abstract: | 10-18% of all patients aged >65 years present to the Emergency Department with delirium. This has significant downstream implications for care within Monash Health hospitals. Currently, there is no mandated risk screening for delirium in Monash Health ED’s. 4AT is the preferred delirium risk assessment for the wards at Monash Health, but ED staff are unfamiliar with this screening tool. Delirium may be under detected in our ED departments due to lack of awareness and screening. | URI: | https://repository.monashhealth.org/monashhealthjspui/handle/1/52626 | Type: | Conference poster | Subjects: | delirium emergency medicine |
