Abstract: Flexible insulin dosing allows children with T1DM and their families to adjust insulin based on carbohydrate intake. Families often struggle with carb counting and applying dose calculations consistently. Digital health tools like the Ypsomed MyLife app bolus calculator can support families, but require structured education to use effectively Education via self-directed online learning modules, may help to reduce the inaccuracies associated with carbohydrate counting and calculating insulin doses, as well as reduce the barrier of attending face-to face education sessions by being a flexible learning option that can be completed and repeated at the family’s convenience.
