Issue Date: | 23-Oct-2025 | Copyright year: | 2025 | Abstract: | Cancer treatment for adolescents and young adults (AYA) can be highly challenging and interfere with optimal nutrition at a crucial time of physical growth and well-being and the development of health-related behaviours. The nutritional status and specific needs of AYA with cancer has limited exploration compared to adult population groups. Cancer malnutrition and associated negative outcomes are well studied in adult and paediatric populations, but the distinct nutrition complications and requirements for AYA with cancer are poorly understood.
