Abstract: Fluoroscopy-guided procedures performed in Interventional Radiology (IR) and Interventional Cardiology (IC) expose staff to ionising radiation for extended periods. Although regulatory frameworks exist to manage occupational exposure, radiation during pregnancy remains a key concern and is often cited as a deterrent for women entering interventional specialties — even though reported doses are typically well below regulatory limits. Pregnancy in radiation environments presents challenges relating to occupational safety, dose compliance, and staff confidence. While current guidelines recommend limiting foetal dose to 1 mSv, awareness and consistent implementation of these measures vary across institutions
