Issue Date: | 5-Sep-2025 | Copyright year: | 2025 | Abstract: | Rapid adrenaline administration remains the most effective intervention for improving anaphylaxis outcomes. Safer Care Victoria (SCV) in 2017 recommended changes to support anaphylaxis management in health service to safely manage patients with known anaphylaxis, regardless of setting. Monash Children’s Hospital (MCH) developed a protocol (PROMPT) document enabling patients at risk of anaphylaxis to keep their adrenaline auto injector (AAI) bedside, facilitating timely emergency use. A audit of MCH nurses was conducted in 2023 revealed inconsistencies with SCV recommendations and MCH guidelines. | Conference Name: | Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy Annual Conference | Conference Start Date: | 2025-09-02 | Conference End Date: | 2025-09-05 | Conference Location: | Brisbane, Australia | URI: | https://repository.monashhealth.org/monashhealthjspui/handle/1/55453 | Type: | Conference poster |
